Questions and Answers
We are going to take a trip to SD this summer but we are not sure where we should stay. We want to stay in a central location that is close to the attractions like Mount Rushmore, the badlands, and custer state park. These are the towns we have heard of so far:
Which one of these is best? Any recommendations for hotels or activities? Thanks.

In visiting the badlands what are good places to stay with family, also any recommened places to stay near Mount Rushmore?
~What are good lodges or hotels to stay in badlands when visiting the parks. Also what are good attractions to see near the Mount Rushmore area, any details or suggestions for planning a trip to South Dakota.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Custer, SD when i went to Mount Rushmore. It was a very nice hotel and easy to get to Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave NP and Jewel Cave NP. Stayed in Wall, SD at the Best Western. Nice enough but Wall is unimpressive at best. You might think about staying in the Park.
I need a twin room denver area with car parking. Travelling to custer sd. From denver airport, which is the best route?
I'd suggest the Crown Plaza or the Courtyard on the 16th street mall. No offense to the above poster but the Comfort Inn is a dump and the Brown Palace is beautiful but spendy.
For getting to Custer SD – it's about a seven hour drive from Denver – take I -25 N to Cheyenne and then take Wyoming 85 N up to SD.
